With the indictment against the founders of online poker's "big three" i was wondering if anyone thought they must have had an inside man to help dig the dirt on these poker sites.

maybe it was chris ferguson acting as jesus - the savior of the online world. His true identify will come out and he will apear with a  shaven head and informant for the fbi. He looks like your typical fbi agent......

Ok here's my conspiracy :)

One thing that seems strange to me is that for the charges of bank fraud etc to be accurate, then the owners of all 3 companies would have had to have been colluding in order to come up with the scheme they did of getting payments processed. If they weren't colluding it would seem a bit of a coincidence that they all thought bank fraud would be the way to go!

I think there is actually a chance the charges are exagerated and this is just setting up the oportunity for the US gov to have the online poker monopoly in the States. As well as the billion dollar fines, the government are also seizing all of the companies player records. So aswell as destroying the competition, they are also taking the plans that will enable them to hit the ground running should they set up a government site. Or am I just paranoid? :p

Read a thread from some professor of gambling law who reckons it's almost impossible for the DOJ to extradite the 'offenders' seeing as they are abiding in territiories where internet gaming is legal. Even though the crime is alleged money laundering (which is obv illegal everywhere) this is their translation of processing gambling payments.

OMG might not be far off from the truth. Doesn't the prez like poker? My version is that the Feds have seized everyone's accounts to datamine hand histories for Obama. Online poker will be legislated and up and running in the US next week and BAbarakus will appear from nowhere and crush Jungleman for 80 buyins, cementing his legendary status on 2+2 NVG.

I knew it :)

I do like your theory actually. All a bit fishy that the big 3 would have to collude with the banks in the same way. Or, it was this guy

Wouldn't make sense, he's been grinding 24 tables all year going for Super Nova Elite.
