Do you mean that sometimes you have a spot when you call you expect to increase your stack size making it a +EV call but when its possibly better to fold because of ICM technical reasons? This is often the case on bubbles or money steps.

well wasn't reallt thinking in specifics was more interested in terms of, pre flop and post flop play in terms of bluffing vs valuebetting in different stages of the tournament. or if bluffin at all post flop ( double and triple barrel bluffs and 3 bet blufs both pre and post flop)
how is your priority changing throughout the tournament?

I think that the idea of not trying to pick up more pots with tools like: R/F, raising to induce(pre & post), cbetting, barrelling, squeezing, isolating limpers, and 3-betting pre as the stages in a tourney progress is oposite of a winning mentality. However, (and that can sometimes be a big however) alot of these decisions may be made more clear to you by other factors within the game such as: position, stack size, stack sizes behind you, HEM stats (crucial imo for both opponents and youself), table image. assuming we all were aware of all those things it is another thing to apply them correctly to a given situation. It is not a secret that the best players online are picking up chips with weaker holdings deep in tourneys in order to consistently make deep runs, there is also a point of view of doing the opposite of what the table is doing in order to maximize profit, playing nitty at a super agro table can sometimes be the best course of action.
