Hello everyone: I need some feedback as I want to improve my tourney skills, I use the holdem manager but not sure how accurate are the stats I get I know with so few hands is very hard to justify a desition on stats but at least I think I get an idea about anyone, I highly recomend you to take advantage of the overlays, on william hill the 250k have been having 50k overlay the last 2 weeks so that give you an edge, and also play as tigh as you can, hope we can have more threads on this section gl everyone. |

Most of the times you just have a small sample of hands from a player in a mtt, I think it should influence your choise only by a few % since there is a decent chance that a few strong hands makes villian stats agressive even though he might be tight (or obv vice versa) Position, stacksizes, boardtexture etc are so much more important then stats in most spots and its a common mistake made by beginning players to overrated stats in mtts( yeah im gonne raise him because he did this twice before!1!11)

I do use Holdem manager for MTTs! Im playing MTTs on Carbon and cause of the small playerpool I have a solid sample of hands now from the regulars which really helps me in some spots, but its still just an adjustment not fundamental. I recommend you use it, I have my HUD perfect for Carbon and MTT in general, I can send the setting to you mate. add Skype: Nice_Steady

Just use the most basic stats, VPIP / PFR / Agg .. until you get a BIG sample size. Maybe set the filter so it doesn't show any stats until they've played atleast 20 hands, so you don't get tempted to stack off for no good reason.
Also remember people are going to play differently when the blinds increase.. so generally your HUD in meaningless without multiple tournament samples on that specific opponent. Best you can do is use it to identify fish vs regs.
