Can Hew believe it

So we're now 7 days into the main event of the WSOP and team Pokerfarm has been reduced to one. Thirty-one hopefuls sat down looking to go deep in the big one 6 days ago. Many fell on day 1, some on day 2, and a good chunk of our players made the money. It was left to Jean-Robert Bellande and John Hewitt to fly the flag for the Pokerfarm yesterday at day 6, but unfortunately JRB couldn't get much going, eventually busting in 65th place when his AT couldn't outrun AJ.

The Pokerfarm is renowned for harbouring some of the biggest superstars of poker. The likes of Sam Trickett, James Bord, Luke Schwartz and Jake Cody may all be poker household names, but the talent doesn't stop there. John Hewitt came into this year's WSOP as one of the farm's relative unknowns - He nearly made a name for himself coming 35th in one of the early $1500 events, good for $17k and change. We all knew that John had talent, and he's proved it in abundance in this year's main event.

Quietly going about his business, John has chipped upto $5,000,000 in chips and sits 16/57 going into day 7. John has hardly featured on the news reports at all; big names have been and gone, a long time ago, but our man John is still there. Big names to fall yesterday include Allen Cunningham, JRB, Eli Elezra and Sorel Mizzi. Danger men still left in include the barely human Ben Lamb (9,980,000) JP Kelly (3,750,000) and Eric Lindgren (2,195,000).

John's table draw for tomorrow is:

1--empty--

2Andrew Brokos 2,505,000

3Guillaume Darcourt 5,340,000

4Kenny Shih 1,240,000

5Stuart Tuvey 2,585,000

6Sebastian Ruthenberg 890,000

7John Hewitt 5,045,000

8Christopher Moore 5,260,000

9Erick Lindgren 2,195,000

There have been worse table draws even though the pressure will be immense to kick on and make a run at the final table. We wish you all the very best John and look forward to an almighty sweat!

In other news the final episode of Poolside is now up on the site as Vegas begins to seriously take its toll on Jesse and Rury, you can watch it below...
